Our family had a delightful stay at Tortugal Boutique River Lodge, perfectly situated for local adventures. Upon arrival, we navigated our way through a beautiful hardwood and cacao plantation to reach this tranquil haven. A highlight was the guided tour of the historic Castillo San Felipe and San Felipe town nearby, offering a glimpse into the local history. The family-friendly atmosphere was evident, with activities like kayaking down the serene shoreline to Castillo de San Felipe. Angela, our gracious host, ensured our comfort and shared valuable local insights. The restaurant provided delicious meals, a plus for families. Though parking was a bit tricky to locate initially, the overall experience was worth the effort. Tortugal's unique 'on the water' feel, along with Angela's warm hospitality, made our family vacation truly special.
